WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

50 YEARS OF LOVE

February 8 1970 - February 8 2020

Today our parents celebrate their 50th Anniversary! They met in 3rd grade, fell in love in high school and travelled the road of marriage with their best friend for half of a century. What a gift it is to witness their true love.

If you’ve ever wanted to see an example of what true love can look like, check out the song our dad wrote for our mom, his very best friend, while they walked the journey of Alzheimer’s together. 50 years married and the love keeps growing! If Naomi hadn’t entered our lives, this song my dad wrote for my mom, among many others, would’ve been lost forever to early-onset Alzheimer’s. This is one of many things we hold such gratitude for.

Music and the Aging Brain Discussion

Apri 1st 2019, 7pm

At this event, learn from Dr. Larry Sherman, a musician and Professor of Neuroscience at the Oregon Health & Science University, singer/songwriter Naomi LaViolette, and cellist Erin Ratzlaf as they explore how listening, practicing, and performing music influence the brain, and how these activities could impact brain aging and disease. They will also discuss Naomi’s work as a pianist, vocalist, arranger, and composer with Steven Goodwin, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, and the Saving His Music project, which has received prominent coverage in national and local news.

Naomi's new album has dropped (and it's wonderful!)

Live at The Old Church with Members of the Oregon Symphony

We're so amazed by Naomi's amazing work and talent. Take a listen to her most recent album "Live at The Old Church with Members of the Oregon Symphony" and be prepared to fall in love.

NEW SINGLE RELEASED!

Ten Miles from Dublin

Exciting news...our personal friend and GRAMMY Award Winning Artist Nancy Rumbel has added her talents to our journey! Nancy is featured on Steven's most recently captured creation, Ten Miles from Dublin. Steven describes Ten Miles from Dublin as “A sweet, meandering instrumental set on a sunny day in the countryside beyond Dublin.” We hope it brings a smile to your face.

How fun to hear our very own WONDERFUL Naomi LaViolette discussing music and the brain on the radio today.

We charted on Billboard!!!

We can hardly believe what happened last week! Our little album premiered at #2 on the Billboards New Age chart. THANK YOU to everyone to helped make this happen!

CBS Sunday Morning shared our story with the nation today and we've been inundated by loving thoughts and comments from around the world.

ALL WE WANT FOR CHRISTMAS...

is a little attention from the Billboards.

When we were featured by CBS in August, we nearly charted on the Billboards! Maybe it'll happen this time! Wanna help? It's easy-peasy. Just listen to The Nature of Love this week and share it with others! Fingers crossed!

Join us online!

Listen live as our own Naomi LaViolette and Larry Sherman, a neuroscientist at OHSU, discuss how music affects and shapes our brains.

His Hands. Her Heart.

"A lifelong pianist struggled to play as his memory began to fade. A professional musician brought his songs to life again."
